COPO road racer that never was...

The street-legal COPO Chevrolet Camaro that never was: Only two 2017 Track Day Performance Camaros were built

Saw this on Apple news, not sure of advantage over 1LE...

One of the member's here actually owns the vehicle, and his buddy has the other one. I forget where the thread is though.....I suck at searching.

I don't really get the point of this over a 1LE, I mean it seems to be missing stuff that a 1LE would have so there's no reason to buy this over the 1LE. I don't get why they even wasted time building these even if it was just to test it out

Yeah, neat... but pretty much a SS 1LE.

I do wish GM put side rockers off the ZL1 or the ones from the GM body kit on the SS 1LE factory.

Agree. Cool these cars exist, but if GM really went all out, hot cam kit, heads and headers, wicked suspension this could have been sweet... Weird this popped in Apple news feed so long after... Still neat it was attempted

Perhaps they'll be interesting for collectors since they have special designations in their VINs? Otherwise, not particularly interesting beyond the historical interest.

Did a track day at Grattan Raceway in Belding Mi with the guy who owns the blue one last year! Unfortunately I’m blocking the view *laughs*

It honestly looks like an overpriced watered down 1LE SS. It mentions they added the Ediff and magnetic ride. However, they're missing the rest of the FE4 suspension and more importantly the GM tweaks and tune.

Hideous decaling aside, they will be collectors cars.
