I was tempted to do this this weekend but there is one more track day at Summit Point on November 4. I am going to try to hold out.

Good luck. All things point to a very cold winter!

I have one scheduled at Summit Point on 11 November too. Maybe the weather will cooperate and I can put the summers back on for one more day of fun at the track.

Uh.
Truly sad day?
Friday my car went into early winter storage at the body shop after a F150 plowed into my rear end at a red light.

Now that's a sad day.

Are those 19" KMC? I was looking at those before I picked up some stock SS split rims for $500.

I am waiting for my tires to come in so I can get them mounted and switched to winters. My tire temp was normal when I left my garage and then switched to cool 5 minutes later, never got back to normal. :(

I am in Michigan and plan to run my OEM tires through this week. Won't go below 30 degrees. Then store it sadly

You guys will be fine. I did two events last year where the 7am temps were at or below freezing, oem goodyears handled it like a champ after 3 warm up laps. Obviously r comps and slicks are less ideal in such low temperatures, but i was very surprised how much grip there was at temperatures that low.

Yea I’m doing my final event of the year at Summit on the 11th, probably gonna be cold but I’m not too worried about it.

Just contacted the agent in charge and told him which body shop I want to use.
Waiting to take it in for estimate.

At first glance it looks like just a smushed bumper cover.
Looking harder, the trunk floor is now about a half inch shorter than it was. Trunk lid looks buckled. Tail lights now on slight angle in toward the center.
Trunk lid and spoiler have some contact marks. Right rear wheel well liner popped out.

Up until now my main concern was tires for the cold weather, looks like that will be next years problem.

Boost Creep - sorry to hear that, hope it can be fixed.

I guess maybe I should switch to the 11th? What group is at SP on that date? Three 1LEs on the same track would be cool.

I noticed the slipperiness of the stock tires on the way to work last week. I am worried, not about the track tire temps, but leaving early in the morning and hitting the highway if it is 20 degrees. I'd hate to "chunk" the tire somehow and then have it self-destruct at the track.
