That might work if the only place you drive your Camaro to is the strip club.

AC is not as effective in a top-down convertible with sunny, 85 degree plus temperatures. Maybe the seat fans in convertibles should push more cfm?

Larger fans would be more expensive, louder, draw more power and cause packaging problems - plus the bean counters would never approve them. Every manufacturer that’s tried this approach has generated tons of consumer complaints. Even the seat “coolers” that include electronic cooling components, sort of like the tiny desktop can coolers, don’t work very well.

I don't feel any difference with the vented seats on or off. But it's so hot in summer in South Florida anyway- that could be the reason. I don't even use the vented seat option anymore.

I barely notice a difference with mine on high, not sure why they have three settings. Pretty sure no one has ever sat in a 6th gen Camaro, turned the seat fans on high and said whoa, that's just too much, have to turn it down a bit.

My gf did...

Still, usually I can feel the air hitting my body.
For 2 occasions I didn't and thought
it wasn't working for some reason... Didn't care too much.

Still everytime I turn it on, I pay special attention now.

Because, in case you never noticed, leather feels hotter than cloth because it does not 'breathe'. My back and butt are definitely sweatier than my front sitting on a leather seat when it's warm out.

I don't know about the upgrade. This thread got into the many nuts and volts of how this all works:

This has been a constant issue for me. At times I don't think it actually turns on at all, even though I have it on the "highest" setting and have the A/C on and air going to the footwells. I've taken my car to the dealership already to have them look at it but they assured me it's working.

A few weeks ago I sat in a 2SS 1LE and turned the ventilated seats on in there. I was shocked at how well I could feel the air. It was amazing.

So this means that either my ventilated seats have an issue, or the system is more effective through micro-fiber suede than the leather seats...or...all of the above.
