Car Cover

My wife's cat sometimes sneaks into the garage and spends the night out there. The cat loves to sleep on my car. Well, I am afraid the cat is going to slip and scratch my car so I want to get a cover. My question is would the indoor cover be think enough to stop the cats claws from scratching the paint and would it stay on or do I need to buy an outdoor cover. I want something the is relatively easy to take on and off.

I have two dogs. I don't have any problems with my dogs getting on the car. They know better.

120v Motion activated sensor attached to something that makes a noise your cat does not like and will move away from maybe.
