Anyone thinking coilovers will automatically be better needs to check out the list of non-GM cars using these shocks.

Not at all expensive either - at least if you've ever looked at truly high end dampers. These are cheap in comparison and a very good deal for what they can do.
Sure, against an off the shelf Koni yellow they are "expensive".. but...

My mindset was blindly comparing to "regular" dampers Ala Bilstein 6 series, Koni Yellows, Etc. as I know them from past experiences |

Be careful all when changing suspension components on a 6th gen 1LE. As the suspension is already “That Good”!!! You can upset the suspension tune very easily as is what happened when I went to BMR lowering springs. The rear has never felt the same. It’s got an ever so slight bounce at speed.

I do plan however to put solid rear bushing in the rear cradle and do the BMR control and trailing arms, to tighten the rear-end up a little more. Coming from an M3 with the rear solid mounted to the chassis, you CAN feel the difference with the 1LE's rear with rubber bushings.

The 1LE still feels very well damped and controlled and ALOT smoother over anything under triple digits. It is even alot smoother and less bouncy at triple digit speeds, just not quite as fast acting. It definitely is the best dual purpose set-up

So after doing a little research (hit a curb and blew out front strut) OEM price on MRC strut is $650. Thagmpartsguy sells “knockoffs” from what I hear for $350. Not sure I’d go with knockoffs but I was fortunate enough to have a good friend give me one of his for shipping cost. Thanks Robert! Lol
