1LE Questions

Can you run a 5 point harness with the Recaro seats?

Anyone have photos of four wheels/tires fitting in the car; trunk/back seats.

Are stock pads good enough to make it through a track day without fade? How do they compare to say a Ferodo Dsuno with bite?

Are there multiple exhaust modes or is there no valve in the exhaust?

Thanks

According to the people that can drive the 1LE proficiently on the track, the pads are fine, you just need to upgrade the brake fluid.

Exhaust has different modes, valve in each side of the exhaust.

1. Properly? No. There's no provision for the anti-submarine strap.
2. No idea.
3. Yes. But you'll want to upgrade the fluid.
4. There are multiple settings that control the two valves (one in each side of the muffler). This is covered in numerous threads.

One more question, what about camber for track?

What is stock camber up front? Is is possible to adjust to -2.5 to -3.0 or will I need camber plates? Are there any camber plates available if so?

Definitely not! But i dont miss my 5 point (in my previous track queen) at all - as the Recaros provide excellent lateral support. One of the best seats ive sat in - bar none.

4 wheels do fit in, 18s for sure, unsure of stocker 20s.
Some folks did post pix but i cant find them. You have to recline rear seats i think.

Stock pads are completely fine, but DSUNOs do provide more bite (and generate more heat...). HOWEVER: i just drove on new stock pads obtained from a GM dealer and they seem to have tons more torque from i recall from last year. Dont know if this is my aging senses, or whether Ferodo changed their compounds, or GM ordered different compound as stock. They felt very bitey to me and i kept putting the car on its nose while getting my cobwebs out during first day of testing.

There are valves in the exhaust and they have a tendency of developing a squeek after a while. Pulling a fuse leaves them in open position and fixes the problem. Zero drone etc when fully open. Not loud at all except for start up and WOT.

Hope this helps.

One of the things I wanted when getting a sixth gen Camaro was the Recaros, I test drove a 1LE last fall and was sold. During my search and decision making process I was looking at 1SS and 2SS cars with the NPP, MRC, and Recaros. Finally cut to the chase and got the 1LE with all the options I could have wanted other than the Bose. Of course right after I made my decision and picked a car I wanted, the 2SS 1LE came out.
Oh well, I end up listening to the exhaust most of the time anyway.

And the exhaust, not that loud, I could stand for a little more volume but the sound is good, and every once in a while I get a nice LOUD pop on start up.

Secondary cat delete may be in my future.

Ya the stereo in 1SS sucks but i prefer to listen to the car anyway. And it does sound absolutely awesome under WOT in PTM Race. No question about it

I just did a pad swap and they say Ferrodo HP1000 right on the back of the pad.

LOL, if you think that's bad, you should hear the stock radio in a base Gen 6 Mustang GT. It makes the Camaro stereo sound awesome, trust me. I can't believe how much of a better car my SS is over my old '15 Mustang GT.

But you're right TC, I'd rather listen to that sweet exhaust note too!

If you're lucky you might be able to get -2.5 out of the front without modification. I am maxed out at -2. To get more, I'd either need to grind out my struts or get camber plates.

I was able to get -2.5 degrees in the front, and had about 6mm of clearance between the wheel and the strut.

Right, sorry I meant needing to grind out the bolt-hole on the strut. I could only get -2 because that's all the holes on the struts would allow. No issues with tires or rims clearing anything.
