Tapping noise while turning

Ever since I bought my car I keep hearing this tapping noise every time I'm turning, you can really hear it when turning at low speeds. At first I thought it was the track deflectors that were installed at the dealership rubbing against something so I removed them. The tapping/clicking noise is still there. Does anybody else hear this or its just my car? You can really hear it from the outside, the noise is coming from the front end. I don't think it should sound like this. It's rather embarrassing when I'm parking in a public parking a brand new car making that noise.

Hi SSHULK,

We apologize for any frustration from your noise concern, as this certainly isn’t how we wanted you to begin your ownership experience. I see we have interacted previously, and we’d still like the opportunity to assist in bringing your Camaro to the dealership to be diagnosed.

Please feel free to continue our private message conversation if you’d like to proceed.

Ok so I was trying to hear where the noise is coming from and it might be from the rear I'm not too sure. And it definitely sounds like the same issue. I have no time right now to take it in to the dealer. Please let me know what they find.

I had the same issue on mine. Dropped it off at the dealership on 5-31 for this and paint defects, and I have not gotten the car back yet.

Omg! That's crazy, have they told you what could be the cause?

I last heard from them on 6-13 (via email), and I was told that they completed repairs and were sending the car to the body shop for the paint issues. I did respond asking what was found, and I have not heard back since. Whenever, the car is returned, I will make sure to find out.

I finally heard back from the dealer.

We are approaching the finish line. Body shop finally finished with it yesterday. There is only one speck of trash in the paint……I will send that back over after we install the exhaust. We have compared the trans noise against others and it is the same. There was an update on the software for the trans and that was performed.

My car makes that noise too. It's been to the dealer with this problem and was told brake lines were routed wrong and made noise while the suspension was active ...from the tech's own words. But still there is noise ... like you say can hear it while turning slow or turn by a wall ... sound will reflect back at you better...can hear it easier.

Did you ever find out what the problem was? My car is making the exact same noise.

Yes my dealer ended up replacing the front shocks, and the noise has been gone.
