There are better quality / less expensive axle backs available than Flowmaster

For a axle back with functioning NPP that is not a bad price. I have the NPP American Thunder on my car it's got a nice throaty sound.

I have had several different exhaust setups on different cars over the years(had a full Kooks system from headers back on my 4th gen) and the FM NPP exhaust linked in the OP is great quality. It also is one of the few that has a significant difference in noise level between open and closed modes. Not to mention it sounds very deep.. my only gripe is you get a little hiss from the valves when closed that you can only hear when standing directly behind the car. However this seems to be common on the NPP valved exhaust systems because the valves do not seal perfectly when closed.

That being said if you order this exhaust from site sponsor Juiced Motorsports and use Promo code Camaro6, the price is cheaper then link in OP.

Is the NPP THAT important to you? It's handy but how often do you close the valves? For me it's not a deal breaker but for others it may be. I'll personally be putting on an AWE axle back which is non NPP. To each their own though!

Where in NC are you? Hello from another NC SS driver.

I did a lot of research on this subject before I chose to go with the NON NPP AWE touring set up. Biggest positive for the Flowmaster, as KingLT1 mentions, the Flowmaster has the biggest difference between open and closed. Many other systems aren't really very different between modes. Biggest drawback, for me anyway is that Flowmaster quality, fit and finish isn't up to par with some of the others.

I think it's the best sounding dual mode system I've heard, although most clips I've heard were on the computer, so take that for what it's worth.

I have the flowmaster npp system. Sounds great, very deep. Less rasp than most others and still Quiet in tour. Don’t let people who just repeat what they read elsewhere sway your decision when they have no real experience with this system. It sounds great

I have the flowmaster American thunder axle back with borla mid pipes and it sounds awesome, I’m super happy with it. It was all bolt on too which was nice.
