Didn't see any exhaust fluid.

Looks like it might be time to get rid of some of those less liked ones.
different types of products definitely have their place though. That pink meguiars 3 in 1 stuff is great for like an old white large work van with chaulky paint where you can't spend 2 days with different products buffing it.

Got anything good as a lubricant for drying up old compounds?

Yes D151 is a good all in one polish. D166 is better but 3x the price.
