SCDA Car Control Clinic and Track Driving - Lime Rock Park CT
Anyone interested in heading up from the area up to these events? I did the car control clinic last time and it was great.

The CCC was amazing, look down in this section of the forum for my experience. The road coarse there is supposed to be great. I will be doing the track portion of it this time. Though I'd do the CCC just due to the fun factor of getting out on the wet skid pad and 0.5 mile track pushing the car hard without fear of anything.

Event went well yesterday. This was my first time with any car on a track ever. I wound up making a 01:07 lap as my best and could the car could easily go quicker with a lot more with practice. I was still working on smoothing out transitions between acceleration and braking and feeling out the car. The uphill corner I was trying to carry some more speed through and that helped lower my lap times. It is scary going up that hill accelerating and getting a little air.

I was there too, different group and car. You can easily drop 5 seconds from your time with some practice.
The uphill is def scary. I've been there a # of times past two years and its still the only place where I lack confidence. You were in a dark grey/black ZL1 parked near the gen5 Z28s, right? |

Sorry to resurrect this. Did anybody have problems with exhaust noise levels at Lime Rock.
I believe the limit is 87db 50' from track. Sounds like the 1LE in the track setting (loudest) exceeds that. Anyone knows? |
