Also, the reason you aren't going to get new valves is the fact that it is part of a whole assembly. An assembly that has a list price of over $2500. Much better to use a product that will fix the problem rather than redesign a whole exhaust system and replace every single one of them.

I am ok with a fix, but some epoxy? This isn't arts and crafts here. I hope they at least plan to use the high heat epoxy so it just doesn't melt away once you pull out of the service bay.

My dealer just recieved a new exhaust for my car today. They didn't bother with the fix so I'm hoping the new exhaust will fix the issue. It goes in Monday for the replacement.

Mine seems to have this issue on startup when it's been sitting overnight but not bad. I have it in the track exhaust setting and it's pretty loud in the mornings when I drive it to work but it mellows when the engine warms up. It doesn't bother me though coming from my 2010 Camaro SS that had SLP LTs and full x pipe loud mouth 2 exhaust system. Now it was loud!!

As I was also told by Gm to install a new exhaust on my car also, (I'm a technician and the only person that has ever driven or touched my car, hooray getting paid to work on your own stuff.) AND guess what, the rattle came back after 900 miles on the new "revised" exhaust. At that time I did another bulletin search and found the new repair. I have done it, and it does work. Some serious epoxy...

If it fixes the issue I fail to see the damn problem. To many cry babies sheesh.
Thank you for the update/fix information.

Heck yea!!! Some people just want to complain. If it works, it works.

So, are all the new NPP exhausts coming off the line now having robots apply epoxy to a pin on the NPP valve? If not, then I want the newly design version of the NPP valve that has the proper size and clearance, etc. so it doesn't rattle.
The makeshift q-tip extension will likely only be available until GM can build a $100 specialty tool to do it...

Agree with the mileage report. The rattle did not appear until about 700 miles.

My 2SS had the epoxy fix applied. The rattle appears to be gone, but since then I smell a burned plastic odor after I pull in in my garage.
