The LIGHTS have to be amber or red. There's nothing specific about reflective surfaces.

You could always drive with your parking lights on, that would light up the side markers...
I agree you wouldn't get pulled over for it most places - but this tiny little township's cops are....special. Either all of their funding comes from tickets, or they get a personal bonus on each one because they are BRUTAL on ticketing people.

Good thought on the parking lights, though - I could always flip those on, or even the headlights, when I'm going through there. Was already planning on flipping the exhaust to Stealth every time anyway, it'll just be making two changes instead of one.

Appreciate the responses!

Of course it varies by state - and ultimately whether the officer is going to spend the time to pull you for it depends on the officer. Some may notice it if you get pulled for something else and add on to the ticket. And as with all things internet - YMMV.

Texas code states:

(a) A clearance lamp, identification lamp, side marker lamp, or reflector mounted on the front, on the side near the front, or in the center of the vehicle must be or reflect amber.

(b) A clearance lamp, identification lamp, side marker lamp, or reflector mounted on the rear or the side near the rear of the vehicle must be or reflect red.

They also may not be legal in CT based on this:
CT Gen Stat § 14-96i (2019)
(a) Each reflector upon any vehicle referred to in section 14-96f shall be of such size and characteristics and so maintained as to be readily visible at nighttime from all distances within six hundred feet to one hundred feet from the vehicle when directly in front of lawful upper beams of head lamps. Reflectors required to be mounted on the sides of the vehicle shall reflect the required color of light to the sides, and those mounted on the rear shall reflect a red color to the rear.

I would say if you drive with your parks or headlights on, they'll have nothing to say...

Absolutely agree with that statement. I'll stop now, didn't meant to highjack the thread and take it off topic.

Resume posting those lovely Summit White Camaros!

Yes, but...

Everything that you're referencing has terminology like "or". There are no specific requirements to HAVE reflectors. Only that IF they reflect, they reflect the correct color. The side markers on cars have lenses over the lamps, not reflectors. So, they technically wouldn't qualify as being reflectors in the first place. Additionally, at night, the lamps would illuminate them the correct color and would negate and weak reflective aspects they may have.

I like the idea of switching out the reflectors to white out or black out... My first mod ended up being painting the letters on my tires. Still need another coat or two (after 3) but here it is.

I had a truck with oversized sneakers that I used to do that to. Looked great, but I had to touch it up pretty much any time I washed the truck.

Some black/tinted reflectors would look great on there

I would personally match them up with the mosaic.

She looked so good under the dealer stadium lights when I pulled in...and that first cold start this morning bright and early at 7am had me grinning

I wouldn't say I went Camaro shopping with Summit White specifically in mind. When I purchased mine back in July there weren't a lot of LT1's to choose from within 250 miles of where I live. It was either white, black, or red. I had a '92 Camaro in red back in the day and it was a cop magnet so that was a no go. My 2013 Charger is black and in the Texas summer sun is murder. I vowed to never have a black daily driver ever again. So that left white. I wasn't thrilled at first since the wife's Ram is white, but once I saw it sitting there at the dealer waiting on my test drive I was hooked! Every time I roll up my shop door and see it I can't help but grin like a kid with a new toy.

2019 ss 1le deck lid

Would any ss owners be interested in trading deck lids? i have a 2019 ss 1le and i’m looking for the standard ss deck lid or zl1 1le decklid. i have the original 1le spoiler if you want that, and an anvil auto carbon fiber spoiler in gloss.
