Do you folks know that a Russian now owns ALL of this track? The 3rd guy was a track safety member that are always on stand by and obviously respond very quickly to any track mishaps which occur frequently there. It's a long track that demands not only skilled driving but functioning vehicles.
The driver got off the track in a very prompt manner which just goes to show he knows what he is doing. I wonder if he's on GM's payroll or a 3rd party tester? |

It happens when you are pushing a car hard.

At around 46 seconds, I thought I heard a supercharger whine. Couldn't hear it when I got close to my phone, but further back I could hear something.

I know why they're over there but I was just referring to all the different cars crashed maybe they're crashing them on purpose to simulate HPDE Track days and seeing how fast it will be even if you crashed it..

Looks like rear right wheel locked up approaching and during a hard right. That wheel is not where I'd expect most forces would be focused in that scenario. Looks like a malfunction of their anti-lock braking system...perhaps limited slip differential malfunction?
Boy do I dislike that front aero kit. Not knocking its functionality for the track, rather how ricey it'll look on the streets. Last edited by juzefzoozoo; 05-12-2016 at 12:35 PM. |

Now it may just be some kind of whistle due to the aero the car has, but maybe not. I haven't detected SC whine anywhere else in the video. A guy on page 1 says he heard it at 0:57, but I don't hear it at that point.

Yup! Trying to find the limits of the car and then tweak it to exceed them.

Yes, I don't see any driver error, I see the braking bias weighted too heavily towards the rear, then after that you see the loss of control.

watching in slow motion you can clearly see something broke in the rear end or braking system. Watch the rear tire. Not only did it lock first at an odd time when they shouldn't have been on the brakes that hard, but it remains locked longer than the front after the impact. As the car lands in the road it remains locked until the car lands a second time. Possibly jarring whatever caused it to lock up to free.
