I'll take the black line please- on this setup. The green line is awful up to 6,500.

Dont have a Dyno of my ported LT1 but I have a Tony Mamo Ported LT2 I paired with my mild cam setup. It made good power. Was faster 60-130 too by a few tenths. I no longer have it or I'd put it back on and see the Dyno differences. However I think Katech's post above is about what I'd expect.
Edit: Mamo Ported Stock TB Mustang Dyno:

There's no way I could've trapped 129 with the stock LT1 intake. The LT2 was working well on my bolt on setup. Mine was only ported for the 95mm and cleaned up runners.

For the price and easy bolt on, the LT2 is absolutely worth it.
And pretty much everyone who has installed one shows excellent gains. So the "word" has overwhelmingly been it is worth it. |

Before and after lt2 intake. Very similar conditions and same road. Actually went 11.62 later but this was the best back to back to show power difference. Anyone who says the lt2 doesn’t work has an agenda

Just to append on to what everyone else has posted, I took my car to Katech with LT2 Intake with ported 91Mm TB and lost power on “stock” tune. Once everything was dialed in with Heads/Cam below is my results on 91 w/E85 w/ LT2.

I really think the gains on all different manifold depends on the build and tuner. I had a LT2 manifold on my NA build and 526/465 RWHP on pump 93 was fine. How much more would I get with an MSD, don’t know. But I really don’t thing it would be leaps and bounds ahead of the LT2 IMO. My power levels seemed pretty good on dyno chart. It’s the combination of all the right mods that gain the best power.
Also to compare one dyno run to another shop you probably would come up with a different number plus or minus and also keeping in mind elevation/temps with regard to members posting here. GPI tested all of them with results. Now that I have a LT4 1.7 Supercharger I am out of the picture in regards to a NA manifold. If I did it all over again I would save my money and go straight to my version 3 on my car with the supercharger. The supercharger is where this motor shines IMO.

I had a MSD from the get go in early 2016, also ported the stock LT1 back then too. So I put the stock ported intake on minus supercharger when I gave the Camaro to my son. To me, the change from a MSD NA to a LT1 ported NA was dramatic, my car has a decent cam and ported heads. I figure I retune it to drive around and even fully tuned LT1 ported, the car really fell on it face about 5500 RPM I shift at 7200 RPM.
My son graduated with a ME degree from UT Austin and shipped the Camaro back to me as it was "too slow". I put the supercharger back on, was too lazy to ship my ported MSD so I figured you really don't need a MSD on a FI setup. To me the car feels lazy above 5500 RPM on FI and ported LT1 vs the same setup ported MSD. Now I don't have access to 93 octane or E85 here, 92 is the best I can get. Still I think I will just put the MSD back on. These are subjective of course, but same driver same car over 7 years. IMO I think the MSD is needed / useful when you go cam and heads and just maybe even more useful with the FI (to my surprise).

And after all this, the LT2 was retested by myself at GPI and even Brett at Pray.
Guess what, the LT2 was better LOL. |

MSD makes more power at the very top of the power band. The LT2 makes slightly less at the very top end than the MSD does, but MORE across the rest of the power band than the MSD or a ported lt1 manifold. If you track the car and are only worried about the very top end performance, get the MSD. Everyone else should go with the LT2. In fact if your car isn't cammed or had the rev limit bumped, you probably won't even see the full benefits of an msd. Anyone that recommends the MSD for any application other than track / strip is probably trying to make a profit off you.

Old news, but Pray actually made another YouTube video walking back some of his claims on the LT2 intake manifold.
