Well, I was a late arrival in the 6/6 group so I'm not surprised that I got moved back a couple of weeks to this group. I'm ready.

It's getting lonely sitting here on the "Group W bench" all by myself. (We'll see if any of you get that reference. LOL) I know other people have gotten a 6/20 TPW. I even saw a 6/27 this morning. Stop by and keep me company as we wait for our cars to be produced. It's only three weeks away!

I would have loved to be in this group. Oh well. Maybe I'll get pulled up a week. Not holding my breath tho. I'll be watching the earlier groups to see how things progress.

Why so late? My dealer said 10-15 days after fab date... And I live in Quebec.

Look at how slow some of the early 2016s got delivered. And even though there aren't many changes, I'll bet they do some extra QA on the first few weeks production. I would really like to see it early July.

If you peek into the 5/2, 5/9, and 5/16, you will notice that many of the deliveries have accelerated. We don't know if they are adding QC time to orders that mirror 2016 configs. They will add more QC for paint color changes and the 50th Anniv versions.

The real issue is the plant shutdown for a week. That will give you folks a hiccup likely. The plant will shut down the first week of July. The secret is to get to a 4000 status.

I looked through the order status thread and someone was able to get their car in 35 days from order to delivery. Now that is extreme because it was delivered near the plant but it is the best case scenario. Delivery can be just as much of a headache a QC and even getting to a TPW.

Peek in on the TPW 6/6 group. We will be tracking the first set of 2017 produced vehicles. This should give you an idea of how things are progressing.

I see three separate items contributing to the slower dealer deliveries of new model year builds. The first (and the only official) is quality review. The second is inventory build up. The third is both GM and Ally Bank and Bank of America have to agree on the insurable floor plan price for the new builds.
