Another interesting trivia topic regarding the Fifty: How many times does the word "Camaro" actually appear on the car?

Steering wheel - 1
Sill plates - 2
Center caps - 4
Turn signal lens - 2
Shifter knob - 1

What about by itself, with no other words near it?

Inside:
Steering wheel - 1
Shifter knob - 1

Outside:
Turn signal lens - 2

Granted, this doesn't count any LPO items like floor mats and it doesn't count the Camaro logo on the up-trim instrument panel center display when you get in the car. A non-Fifty car would be similar: add the name from the fender badges, subtract the name from the center caps and the sill plates only have the name, not a phrase.

Speaking of riding... What about the 50th event in a few weeks?

I'm registered or signed up for everything (Camaro parking at the factory for Wednesday and reserved spot for the Camaro corral at Woodward on Saturday). I have a room at the "host hotel" for Wednesday night, working on one near Woodward or Becky's warehouse for the other days.

I had been talking to Adam about it a bit but not sure how the time off is working for that and if you're still wanting to go. How about you Ric? Everyone is invited of course though if you haven't registered for a couple things it might be difficult.

I would to. But I've used my "hall-pass" for this trip and my wife doesn't have enough vacation to support it. My boss might be getting a little annoyed with me as well with all my time off I've been taking lately. You may have to represent The Three Amigos, at least for me.

I FINALLY got the word back from my boss. I can't take the time off. Back to school blackout at my job. Was really looking forward to going. May have to have you scope out the swag and pay you back Chris.

Looks like I'll be representing the amigos all by myself. Don't worry though, I've got a GoPro and a Canon and I aim to use them extensively (just not inside the factory, which is a bit of a bummer). I'll be happy to report back on the swag and should be able to pick up a thing or two if need be for other peeps. Gotta use my new GM Extended Family credit card somehow right?

That's what I thought but you never know with some people dropping or squeaking in or whatever. Folks can also just come up for the Dream Cruise itself, just not the Camaro-specific parts.

I think I might actually skip cars and coffee Friday morning, possibly stay in Lansing Thursday night in case there's a decent parking lot party and then head to Detroit at my leisure Friday. I was in full panic mode as soon as I saw registrations open so I got mine in early.

Posted in the respective other threads of "what did you do to your 6th gen today" and "personalized plates" but re-posting here to save club friends the trip.

Got my windows tinted on Friday. 30% Formula One Pinnacle Series. My custom plate also showed up on Saturday. I'd blame Kaiser_911 for stealing my F1FTY idea but he's in Tennessee so I can't. Gotta find the culprit down here in Florida.

I've got more pics of the car from other angles, both before and after, but didn't want to flood the thread unnecessarily. If the masses want to see it, I'll be happy to provide.

I'm still around, just not on as much these days. Only update here is I finally had a clear bra put on, or whatever Llumar calls their stuff. Got it done at the same place that did my tint. Should have done it immediately after taking delivery but better late than never.

Install wasn't 100% flawless in some spots but there's a lot of crazy angles on the front of these cars so I can forgive a bubble here and there I guess. Did the front fascia, fenders, and mirrors for $450+tax.

Next up at some point I think will be the GM Performance exhaust and intake.

Congrats on the ZL1 convertible. I picked up my 2SS convertible on August 15th. I love it. Enjoyed that movie.
