Yes. I have a beautiful brand new track 10 minutes from me. I'd rather replace the front of the protection every couple of years than have to paint it. This is my 3rd vehicle that has 3M Xpel. I'll never own a vehicle without it. It really is that good. Some will disagree. Especially with the cost. For me it's a necessity and I include it in the price of ownership.

I did full Suntek Ultra Matte on mine... It protects the paint but also makes it WAY easier to keep clean too. No more waxing.

1300 mile road trip and after cleaning not one single blemish on the film...

Off topic but did 3M buy Xpel? First car I got Xpel Ultimate on I remember them being a competitor to 3M with a superior product.

And it's all good your car looks great just didn't want you to go to the track after spending that much and be disappointed if you got a few chunks taken out of the film.

I bought the car to track it and frankly think a little track blasting looks good on it, fit for purpose haha. I know an absolutely legendary painter in town and when/if it gets bad enough I'll just have him match and paint the worst bits.

This is all I needed, covers the main impact areas on the track. I don't get the need for ceramic after that.
which shop?

Perhaps for appearance, but you are deluded if you think that a "professional wax job and sealant" would provide the protection that a clear film does. Bananas.

To the OP: Beautiful job on that car. Don't let the naysayers detract from your decision. I paid $5000+ for Xpel on most of the vehicle (didn't do roof, trunk lid, and a couple other small areas), ceramic coat, and window tint. Paint correction is EXPENSIVE (i didn't do it since my car was brand new and i didn't want to lose any mils of thickness on the new paint/clearcoat figuring i might do it later).

I am blown away by this Freshly Washed Friday ZL1. Great paint job. Cost me a little elbow grease, water and soap. Did it just now this morning.

I don't think it will stop rocks, I never said that. I was talking about the shine. Waste of money paying $5k for such a thing. Maybe if I was in Auto Shows and trying for prize money, ok. But for daily duty. I would just do a clear bra for rock chips. That is money well spent. My Tacoma PRO comes with that and I am glad it is there.

Guys who ask saying it is expensive keep in mind the exchange rate. I paid $4000 for a full PPF on my zle some in matte some in normal xpel ultimate. That would be around $5275 CAD. I didn't do the ceramic so I can't comment on that. But to the OP car looks amazing!!!

Unbelievablezl1 is on the money. I'm positive I could have attained a very similar result with correction and a good wax or ceramic alone. The amazing result was a bi product of the clear bra. It's primary job is to protect.

Thanks for all the positive comments guys. I have no regrets and could not be happier.

If I could afford it, then maybe. I hope you get all the protection you hope for and your money's worth.

When you back out the cost of materials, how much per hour did you pay to have the clear bra installed?

Here is the cost of the product. Figure at 30% market up for retail.
