Broken Passenger Seatback Latch
Well, I guess it was about time, after almost 5 months of ownership, I had my first problem with my ZLE.
The passenger seatback latch doesn't work anymore. Physically it is there, you can still lift it, but the seatback won't release to let passengers in the back. Probably the 2nd or 3rd time it has ever been used, it looks like the cable popped off from somewhere from the middle of the seat. Anyone else had this problem? I'd hate to have a dealer take my seat out or open up the seat to try to fix this issue, given that the dealers in my area are not even competent enough to change the oil in this car. |

I had an issue with my passenger latch as well but mine was still functioning. the plastic trim around the handle had popped out and wouldnt stay in place. the pull handle also wouldnt drop nicely back into place.
seems like a different issue if yours wont release the seat. they had to order a new piece for mine and working. good luck. |

I am going to take it to the dealer to see, as long as they don't try to remove the seat, they can fix it. I just don't trust them enough to have them remove a seat and put it back in, have had horrible experiences with the local dealers here.
Last thing I need is damaged/scratched interior panels. |
