Where to place jack on rear of car

In my photo, circled in red. Is that where I can place the jack to lift car up. I want to lift rear end so I can swap drag radials with stock wheels. I got a headache from searching google for an answer and don’t want to mess things up.

No, jack it up on the black rear cross member (with the white peeling sticker). Make sure you don't clip the ears on the diff module behind the cross member.

I jacked mine up there but used a thick piece of rubber as the point of contact. I then put jack stands on each side, since I have the mag pucks, and then rested it on those.

A small 2x4, cut to fit in the area, should work too.

Your jack may not have enough lift on them but look at this thread for info on this:

Thank you. However, today I decided. I just said screw it and I'm buying the lift in a few weeks. It's only a little over a grand so. Then there be little need of a jack stand or jack stands

There are so many things under these cars that is kinda fragile. Plus I hate bending over anyway.

I can't wait to have a garage big enough to install a lift !!

OP, if you're like me and don't have the ability to have a lift in your garage yet, look into quick jacks. You'll never have to worry about were to place jack stands ever again.

Looks great but how do you change out the tires on that?

I just checked out their website briefly. Looks interesting, where to they grab on the bottom. Im assuming it doesn't destroy the side skirts.

That's a 'parking lift' not a working lift.

Gives you two parking spaces.

This is great I was about to start a thread asking to see if the quick jack should extend forward like the manual says. Or I read that it should extend backwards so the weight of the front counter balances.

You can easily change tires on a 4 post lift. I do it all the time on mine. I have a Jack that slides down the center track of the lift and has arms that are adjustable inside to outside. I can lift either the whole front end or the whole rear end off the car off the wheel paths. I also have a Jack tray that I can use and raise all 4 wheels off the lift at the same time.

It’s not just an extra parking space.

I took some roll cage tubing and welded it up. It sits about 3/4’s of an inch below the side skirt. On my ZLE when you use the front one it lifts front and rear off the ground. It’s been working really well for me, much easier when putting the track tires on.
