Anyone regret buying 20+ SS/LT1 A10?
As the title reads, does anyone regret buying their 2020 SS/LT1 with the 10-speed auto? Seeing that the t93 is locked and there is no tuning support for it in the foreseeable future. I know the ECM can still be tuned and all and a TCM tune may not be needed for that 550-650 range but it still sucks. TCM tunes on the previous years yielded great results.

Nope. Thumbs down for any auto, thumbs down for not having my preferred color, and thumbs down for the new body style (maybe it will grow on me? lol)
I would like to try out the the 10 speed auto on an SS, if it shifts quick enough. I'm not sure if similar transmissions were used between 8 auto and the 8 auto of the Corvettes that I have driven several times...but the shifting was less than desirable. There was too much of a lag while using the paddles, that it almost made the car feel clunky. That was a 2018 Corvette Z06. |

No second thoughts on the A10. It's faster than the M6 and will be in much higher demand on resale.

Don't get me wrong, I love mine as well! But I hope as I start modding down the road, specifically a cam, that I won't wish I had the ability to tune the TCM. Hopefully, by then they will have unlocked the t93.

Great car and great transmission. Letting the transmission do its thing is the fastest way to go. Amazing how it bangs off those shifts - faster than any manual no matter how good a shifter one may be. Paddles are good for downshifting while braking, going downhill or for selecting a gear to hold but too lazy for anything else.

Everyone knows modern automatic transmissions shift faster then a manual. We don’t buy manuals to be faster then an automatic. We buy them because we like shifting and being apart of the car. We buy them because we think they are more fun to drive. Manual users enjoy the driving experience. #SavetheManuals

Honestly I can't imagine having this car in a automatic, when my legs stop working I guess Ill give in but till then Ill be shifting gears. I know its a few tenths slower but who cares. I feel like Im in a real sports car. Just me though no hate towards the autos, its just weird how they always feel as if they need to justify the fact of buying a auto. I did test drive an auto and it did shift nicely and felt quick on the shifts. If I was buying to drag race I would probably get the auto.

Us manual guys just find it more satisfying to drive a manual. Auto vs manual is like the gas grill vs charcoal grill debate. Some will argue that a gas grill is more efficient, some will argue the experience and food is more satisfying with a charcoal grill, and some just like grilling period.

I can care less what other people prefer, but the fact people do get riled up by other people and their preferences and choices is always interesting. Like a weird flex to themselves for whatever reason, yet nobody cares. |

For various reasons I personally decided to buy the A8 (that also receives special hate because of the shudder issue), but fully appreciate the TR-6060 for the great transmission it is.
