Tail Light Trouble
Hi all,
Earlier today I was installing my Borla S-Type axle back system (Btw thank you all for the suggestion). As I was about to complete the install, I noticed that my drivers side brake light was on but very dim. I am very stumped as to what is causing this to happen and trying to find a fix. If anybody has any recommendations as to what I can do please let me know! Thank you (Link to video of the light) https://youtu.be/lTXplnGcT08 |

Do you have LED bulbs installed? I don't know if it is the same but when you install aftermarket LED reverse light bulbs, they "glow" unless you add a resistor.

Did you buy the crimp on resistor kit or the plug and play resistor kit? If it is the crimp on you might have a bad connection.

I know on the 19 the plug and play resistor kit don't work, at least on my car it did not, and lots of others it did not.

Shine a light in the female end and make sure the gasket isn't cracked or twisted.
I think you could introduce a small amount of silicone grease in there to add some insurance. Vaseline is also a possibility, as that will swell a rubber-based gasket. Don't know what these plug gaskets are made of. Could be Viton. |

Might try moving the plug to a different location because there is a water run off channel for the trunk lid in that general area.
