Sure hope so! I contacted Phastek on Friday evening and I'm assuming they are closed over the weekend so If i don't get a response on Monday I'll be contacting Diode directly.

I must say though that Phastek has been very good to me, last time I had an issue with a product; another lighting upgrade funny enough; they sent me a replacement very quickly!

Sounds like the current limiting resistor failed. Usually 330 - 470 Ohms, depending on the color. Without a current limiting resistor, the current draw goes off the charts and the LED burns up.

so seeing this, what would be a better brand Oracle lighting (sp) or DD?

I will never buy anything oracle ever again. I went through so many oracle sidemarkers on my c6 corvette it was ridiculous. On the plus side, they always sent out a replacement, but the quality and fitment was garbage. And they were crazy expensive.

I find the quality of the DD sidemarkers for my ZL1 to be outstanding.

Well, if we are to apply the same logic to the OP and Diode Dynamics as we do to Oracle (basically, a few bad stories and suddenly EVERY product they've ever made sucks), then DD should be shut down permanently, all their employees sold into slavery, and their family names be stricken from all historical records.

Anytime you are dealing with electronics (or anything actually), failures will happen and I have had a few LED light failures over the years.

LED light failures can sometimes be a little more dramatic than an incandescent bulb.

My most recent experience with this was earlier this year. I had upgraded my wife's Ford Edge Sport puddle lamps to LED assemblies from Daytime BrightLites. One stopped working after a couple weeks. I removed it to check it out. Connections were good, so I applied power to it (by opening the door) and POOF; it heated up, smoked, and melted some of the wiring insulation. It was replaced, no questions asked and without returning the fried lamp.

Not sure yet, Phastek replied to me on Monday and I haven't heard back from them yet. Looks like they are waiting on DD to replace it. Hoping it doesn't take too long.

I went through 8 different side markers that quit within a matter of 4 months. NONE of them fit properly. Call it whatever you like. My first experience with DD has been positive.

Installed my diode dynamics side markers and work great. Fitment was perfect and look amazing in person compared to the stock look.

I agree.
It might be a good idea to test these 'lights' with a 12 volt dc source, like a 12 volt 1 amp wall wart. (little DC power supply) before installation.

When I had the s550 I went back and forth with DD a couple of times with their switchback LEDs (car and bulbs were new then). Nick and the group there are top notch. I'm positive they will take care of you fast...
