Want to hear snap, crackle, and pop? Here's my exhaust system on my 2017 ZL1; of course it's custom.

I love the popping/crackle sound on my A10 2019 SS and have found the best way to get it to pop the most is to downshift and then quickly upshift right back again when the RPMs are from 3-4k. Takes some practice getting the feel down but the car will pop almost twice as long as on a regular downshift or letting off the gas. Anyone else do this? Try going around 40-45mph in 3rd gear and then downshift to 2nd and as soon as it shifts, go right back up to 3rd.

WHAT!? I cant read what your saying over the exhaust.... I took the exhaust of of mine. I constantly flood the exhaust with fuel so I am constantly getting the pops and bangs. I try to keep the gas peddal at 1% while engine braking. Im always going for the worlds longest "garbage disposal with a fork in it" sound.
AND IT IS GLORIUS!!

Hmm, I noticed this when I had hit the paddles while in auto mode. I held it at around 3.5k rpms then when it switched back over to auto mode, it upshifted a few times and popped like crazy. I will try to do this intentionally now. I'm assuming our gearing is the same between the SS and ZL1. 40-45 mph for me is usually where I downshift to 2nd to get it to 3-4k rpms. So from there I upshift immediately? Or should the upshift to 3rd fall into the 3-4k rpm range? I'm assuming the former.

I never considered giving a tiny bit of gas while downshifting. I will try this too.

My 2019 C7 had some pops and such. But my 2013 C6 with no Cats and headers would really pop, snap and babbel like crazy and had hard engine breaking that would chirp the tires

I loved to make it pop next to ricers and Stangs.

I read somewhere on this forum that the 19-20s did get a different tune on the exhaust that produces more snap crackle and pops. I would like to know how to get it. Or if someone could link that thread.
