Can anyone vouch for port injection?
I just ordered a Magnuson 2650 and some supporting mods for it. Headers, intake, throttle body. My plan is to max out the fuel system and get somewhere around 720 whp.
After that I want to go port injection and full E85 with smaller pulleys and aim for 900. However, I keep getting conflicting opinions on port injection. From my research (I am still a bit of a novice) it seems like the most efficient way to fuel these cars. However, some say the current kits available for the Magnuson 2650 aren't well done or are risky for supporting the full needs of the fuel system past stock. Has anyone gone with port injection and had good results? Specifically on the Maggie 2650? I would also like to keep the cam stock. I repeat I would want this as the sole fuel mod. For those that have done it which port injection system would you recommend? I've mostly been considering Weapon X, but have heard good things of toohighpsi. |

I haven't seen anyone run port injection on a Maggie yet but I'm sure it can be done. It's much easier on the Edelbrock set up for sure. We've used the Weapon X and it's a solid set up and easy to use.
Generally speaking we can reach 900-1000rwhp without port injection. We have plenty of cars making 900-925rwhp on the stock injectors and high side. |

That was my concern. I see they have a selection for it but I haven't actually seen it done. Perhaps when the time comes I'll just send my car to them and let them install it. This might be an odd concern to have on a high horsepower car, but reliability is something I'd be questioning. I would like to use the car as a daily with weekly runs at the strip.

Look at the system designed by @toohighpsi. He was formerly at Magnuson and his port system looks killer.
