That is correct. It must have been his 9 second pass was in the DA I mentioned. It's been a while since I watched his videos.

Since I'm only 30 minutes from DSX Tuning, I was thinking about having them do the install and tune. My understanding is that they will only tune it if they do the build (which I totally understand).

I'm guessing they would only use their aux pump in place of the JMS booster but I'm not really sure I want a hole drilled in my tank lol.

I'll have to see what they say.
Perhaps you've seen it, but Katech's released a dual-pump in-tank low side upgrade, and while it's not DSX, I'm sure they wouldn't have a problem installing that one. That way, you don't have to put a hole in your tank. The labor is more, but, IMO, would be worth it. There are other 3-pump set-ups, too, for more power, so it depends on how fast you want to go.

I've heard that skinnies on front make significant difference in 1/8 times also

About 670 rwhp at 3850 lbs FI. I would do the TooHighPsi and you can make that 670 pretty easy. Now your gonna need to make 700 rwhp because of the extra weight of the Zl1 over my Lt1. I had a 2300 Maggie and THPSI, Rotofab and running on E65. I did have a JMS to help out my low side but did it with a Stock Lt1 motor and Trans. My best 1/8 mile at Gateway was 6.34@112 and 9.80@142.96, (707 rwhp/660Tq) 60ft times were not good with the A10 like my 16ss with the A8. I may have seen your Zl1 at Gateway. Went back and looked at some time slips from April at Gateway. On 9.8 lbs of boost and 677 rwhp I ran 6.50@109 and a 6.47@110 both with 1.45 60ft times, that was on my 98mm pulley, my 95mm makes 10.5 to 11 psi. At LS Fest last year we ran 10.34@135 and had a 6.70@106 w/1.50 60ft, that was on 8 psi and the car made 632/555 rwhp/tq.

Thanks for the comment, yes I have, and I think I heard DSX may have their own in tank pump in the works (no idea if it's true), but I'll be asking them that question.

I was only at Worldwide Technology Raceway (yeah, I still call it Gateway too) once this year in mid-July on a test n tune night.

Honestly, I'm really not a fan of 1/4 mile racing, everything I've broken (since the 1990's) has been 1/4 mile. IMO, 1/8 mile is way easier on the car, takes out (most of) the sandbagging in bracket racing, is safer, and the same experience. I'm fortunate to be within a couple of hours of several 1/8-mile tracks that have good programs.

Anyway, I appreciate your input, but port injection mods are not in the equation for me.

I like both, but grew up drag racing with Jerry Bickel, Bill Kuhlman, Bill Rowe, Ed Dixon, and a whole bunch of others, we raced more at Peavley (I55 raceway) than any other track. Raced some at the old Gateway when it ran the other direction. Love 1/8 mile and agree its safer, cheaper (easier on parts) and the track can run a lot more cars thru compared to 1/4. Gateway runs a lot of big events and they really couldn't do that if they ran 1/4 all the time. Super Pro and Pro have been 1/8 miles for years now and Sportsman is the only 1/4 event unless its test and tune or crazy ass Midnight Madness which I did one time and decided it was really not for drag racers, it was for wanna be racers. No traction for a car that makes power, lots of 4wds, street cars that drag water up to the starting line. I didn't get one good pass in and my cars have aways hooked, not on Midnight madness, what a joke in my opinion, but it brings in a lot of money for the track.
