I'm really torn if I should put the solid isolater on or leave it stock with the overdrive pulley I have.

I really like to change it to to solid isolator. How much time, it will be take this to change. I dont think, then i will do it my self. I am familiar with cars, but i dont trust to deinstall the sc and change the spring to solid isolator.
My dealer say, this is normal. And i am in switzerland. My guarantee is not like yours. I will give some mechanic to do this. What you guys think. How much time it will need for this work. |

Seems to me that the change from the spring loaded to solid isolator wouldn't be a 2013/2014 specific change. If GM gets these as complete units from Eaton, I would think the change occurred somewhere around the time that they ran out of units with the spring loaded isolator and started installing units with the solid isolator that Eaton provided them.

You need to lift the sc to get the snout off. GM allows 5.7 hrs the good heavy mechanics are doing far better than that and no they don't drill holes to get the rear bolts off.

Bumping an old thread to see if anyone has issues with their solid coupler since install. These days there seems to be multiple different styles of the solid version now....which one is "best"?

Eaton’s (the big pic):
http://www.superchargersonline.com/i...oducts_id=7819 These guys are authorized Eaton rebuilders.. I’ve had it 4 years in my first sc, no issues 30k miles. I bought a second one and did an Eaton rebuild, came with solid coupler... http://www.superchargersonline.com/i...ducts_id=12179 -Don
