I always used the virtual assistant. It never gives you a code, only a written response regarding your update.

From what I have been seeing, things get very obscure between Factory and Dealership. Seems to be common for everyone regardless of how far or close the dealership is to Lansing.

I am already mentally prepared to wait at least an month or two for my car to appear at the dealership.

If you are beyond the 500 mile radius and rail transport is involved it is pretty much a black box. The dealer should be able to provide some updates. For my car, they were able to tell me when it left the railyard in Toledo, OH. When it reached Chicago, and when it was unloaded from the rail in WI (just across the river from Stillwater, MN). But there can be days in between where you have absolutely no idea where it is. That's basically just the way rail transport works.

If you are within the 500-mile radius where your delivery will be completed by truck, then Jack Cooper Transport is normally the carrier and there is a webpage where you can check for updates yourself.

ETA: Here is the link to check Jack Cooper, just enter your VIN. At a minimum it will show you movement from LGR to a railyard.

I got a text from my dealer today hit 4300 status today after on Tuesday they had no update lol. Now the waiting begins to get it to the dealership at least its finally been built!!!!!! Now hope they dont let some moron steal it out of the lot waiting for transport!!!

And getting it stolen out of the yard is a legitimate concern! I feel bad for the folks who are not getting their long awaited Camaro because some thugs stole it from a mostly unguarded yard. Ugh.

Yea i am trying not to think about that. There have been what 2 instances of that now recently.

My car was built yesterday!

So my original order, that was still in 1100 status after I changed dealers and got a new order to 3000 with a TPW of 4/28, has been produced this week. My new order is still sitting with a 5/23 TPW. Really annoying....

Glad you guys are moving forward.

Your dealer can tell you exactly where it is with VIN View.

So after the ping pong of a TPW of 4/18, 4/25, 5/2, 5/9 and back to 4/18 where I held for 2-3 weeks - I just got word that my car was produced by pinging the Chevy chat. So it really was 5/9 after all . . . now the wait for transport and delivery to NJ before thieves help themselves to it . . . Good luck to all still waiting!
