Are these safe? Or will I end up dead or something?

Hi, first post here. I was just wondering how safe these and these are? If at all.

I have searched and seen some Camaros with them on and the site says they're for a 16-20+ Camaro, but I know our bolt pattern is 5x120mm and the racestars are 5x4.75(120.65mm). Be it only by 2 or 3 hairs. It's still not 5x120, and is "close enough" ok/safe when it comes to driving down the highway or track at 90-130mph? What will it to to the studs, etc?

Thanks to everyone in advance.

I've been wondering the same thing as I've been looking at wheels. The general consensus seems to be that everyone who's actually done it seems to have not had issues and someone even drew a diagram where the size difference ends up being basically the width of the smaller mechanical pencil lead size.

Then you get the folks that say the wheel studs will bend and your wheel will come off.

It really all boils down to the allowable tolerance in the specs. I could imagine a situation where your hub is on the low end of the spec range (say 5x119.75) and you get a set of 5x4.75 wheels that are on the high end of the spec range (5x120.90) and it could legitimately be an issue. But the exact opposite could be true also.

I'd say if you're dead set on a 5x4.75 wheel you could maybe try to confirm with the manufacturer if their wheels are designed to fit both or not.

My car went almost 140MPH with these on the front... so to answer your question, they were safe for me!

This guy gets tolerance stacking.

Personally I would be more concerned with applying hard cornering forces while using 5x4.75 than straight line drag racing. Others have posted about using them for drag racing without any issues but I would be more comfortable buying 5x120 even if it is just for peace of mind.

Any money saved on 5x4.75 wheels is not worth it if a wheel comes off at speed or if a lug nut starts to come loose and elongates the wheel's lug holes.

That setup he posted is for straight line racing only! I would never take a fast corner with them skinny's up front! I took a slight turn on a highway doing 110MPH and had to fight it!!!!
