1LE Seats

I have started autocross this year and absolutely love it. My parts wishlist has changed alot and at near the top is new seats. I am just a bit to tall and when I put on a hemet my head is either to low or I have to stick it in the middle of the car in the sun roof hole... My questions is, do the recaro seats in the 1LE sit lower? I can get used to sitting in the middle of the car but would prefer my normal driving position. I looked for some LE's in my area for sale so I could take a look but I have no luck there. Thanks all!

You’ll sit higher in the Ricaros, because the foam is more dense.
Lean over, slouch or trade your car for one that doesn’t have a sunroof. The first two options are the easiest

Yeah, that sunroof is a PITA.

I love my sunroof, but lose lose quite a bit of headroom because of it. I am only 5'10". I know I could lower my seat, but then the damn beltline feels even worse. I am not a fan of having my door/window at the same level as my chin.

A lot of the racing seats sit a lot lower on brackets, I would look into aftermarket bucket seats for the track.

My understanding is that the power Z28 seats do sit a hair lower than the normal 1LE ones, but the manual Z seats are actually taller.

There's numerous threads scattered around about race seat fitment, folks trying to deal with keeping airbags intact, etc. You'll certainly spend less and get more support by just going to a race bucket, but there are drawbacks as well.
