They still have mine...2 full damn days! I just called and they are test driving it now, should be done today soon. The TCM had to be reprogrammed again due to the rough shifts from P to D or R as per what GM told my dealer. Fluid was flushed 3 times and filled with new Mobil 1 fluid. I will see what happens when I pick it up in a bit.

Got mine back yesterday afternoon...new TSB flush/fill done, reprogrammed TCM...works great! Shifts from P to D or P to R are smooth no jump. They said that the clutches were not at the correct fluid fill level, hence why they reprogrammed the TCM from what was said on the invoice. No more shudder, when you hit the gas, she goes now without any type of hesitation, shudder, nothing! Plugged my Range back in when I got home, hoping with the flush, reprogram and the Range it will be good for a long while...we will see, but so far so good.

I keep thinking I would like to get a new 2019 Corvette C7 & would prefer an auto but this scares the Hell out of me. Its funny when I read about this on the Corvette forum it really seems to get played down including chastising folks for saying they have the issue.

And here its everywhere on the forum. I believe its a legit issue of course but can't figure out how its gone on so long. My 2013 SS is still a good car and looks like brand new but I long for something different of late. But I read stuff all the time and get spooked into staying put so just thought I'd share that FWIW.

Ignore those morons on THE Corvette forum! Their heads are obviously in the sand or up and locked someplace else! I owned a 2017 C7 and the M7 is a great transmission for it. THE REAL A8 issue is why I chose the M7 in it and the M6 in my Camaro. Period.

There's a few good people on this board but no doubt there are more Jerks
than nice people. It's as if people just get off on being mean or preachy.

Thx yeah I guess if I decide to go after one I had better go with the M7. Its sad that has to be the only choice due to the ongoing issues. My intent wasn't to derail the thread but this seemed like an appropriate place to ask given all that I have read. The ZL-1 with a 10 speed auto would be on my short list too but they are pretty rare in Canada while the vette is available in reasonable amounts here. The Gen 6 Camaro SS isn't really on my radar especially when the cost difference here to the vette isn't that big really. I like my Gen 5 SS still but its getting a little old in some ways and I'm starting to shop for something.....

I have a 2018 so I am wondering the meaning of this is for 2018 models.

I ask because I took my 2018 back to the dealer for shudder and they checked the codes
and test drove it then told me the car is functioning as it should and that shudder is
impossible for the 2018 models.

Thanks

My 2018 1SS (build date 11/17, purchased 2/18) had the shudder. When I took it in to the dealer I bought it from for the first oil change I talked to the service advisor about the shudder and made an appointment for the next week. They installed the picoscpe equipment and verified the shudder, and did the flush/fill with the latest TSB #18-na-355. Picked it up the next day, and it's like driving a different car. Shifts are crisper, smoother with no hesitation. Only a couple hundred miles since, but so far all is good.

I have no idea how to find the build date but I bought it in March 2018.
How do I find out? Do I type the VIN into some website to get the build
date?

I traded in a 2017 Camaro to get the 2018 because the stealership messed
up my 2017.

I've never been back to that dealer since because of all the grief I got
about wanting a new 2018 instead of letting them send the 2017 to their
body shop to be repainted. They wanted me too leave it for 3-4 weeks
so they could change body panels then repaint the whole car. The car
had about 100 miles so I was not having a non-factory paint job after
dropping so much cash on a new car. The damage happened during a
dealer locate and transfer so I arrived to buy it and they had me pay
and sign all the papers on it before letting me know the car was damaged.
They made sure they locked me into the car first. I was so mad..

And Chevrolet customer service was useless. I had to get the Florida
Inspector General for Car Dealerships involved to make the dealer
order me a new 2018.

I took my 2018 to a different dealer 6 months later after getting sick of
the shudder and hesitation. They gave me the story that all A8s work
that way and the the shudder and hesitation is just the way the
transmission works. It's a crap answer and I hate the A8.

I am still hoping someone can translate the above service bulletin's
verbiage for 2018 model year Camaros.

My flush was done the other day. I only put 15 miles on it on the way home but didn't notice the shudder. The dealership told me it may take a few hundred miles to really settle in. Keeping my fingers crossed...

I believe that means shudder in seen in drive mode or manual mode in 7th gear for Model year 2017, 2018 and 2019.

Find a more decent dealership. They'll verify the shudder and do a flush with a new 2019 fluid and trans flush tool based on the latest revision of the TSB.

As to the longevity of the new flush, most have doubts and it's only been a few weeks, but AFAIK nobody has posted a shudder report after it so far.
