I'm confused. My zl1 goes up the 67" XT ramps just fine. Front and back...

I went with the 80's because they were 10 inches high instead of 8 and they are 14 inches wide instead of 12.
Previously owned a shorter (lower) pair and I just feel more comfortable with a little extra room underneath. Buy once, cry once.

I bought Rino ramps, 10 inches high 12 wide, perfect for oil changes and whatnot, cost was 46 bucks good to 12000 pounds.

Negative. That picture just happens to have my car outside. It's usually inside. When I bought mine they were the ones everyone on here recommended, 10" high 67" long XT 2pc. I'm still confused what has changed that now all of a sudden they don't work for others....

I think the difference might be with your 2017 ZL1. The 2018 and newer sit just a bit lower. Pretty sure they made some changes between years. Anyone correct me if I am wrong. Just enough to make the ramps touch. Like I said I didn't add much it was so close.

Looks like some of you with ZL1 1LEs are using the 67" and some are using the 80" Race Ramps. I know I definitely would like the 10" lift height that the 67 and 80" ramps provide to allow for extra room working under the car, but my concern is the approach angle of about 10* on the 67" and the 8-9* approach angle of the 80". My goal would be to not need wood blocks to help me start up on the ramps so just wondering which length ramp seems to work best for the ZLE in terms of not scraping the splitter/air dam pieces beneath the splitter. I looked at the 72" ramps too which have an awesome 6* approach angle but that is only 12" wide and only lifts to 8" so didn't really think that would be a good option considering the wide ZLE tires and desiring the 10" lift room to work under the car.
I also saw the 80" ramps can be turned over and used to help load the car into a trailer? Anyone use them for that too? That would be helpful to share the ramps with my dad to help load his 1986 or 2013 Camaros into his trailer for car shows. Should mention my 2020 ZLE is completely stock. |
