2020 LT1 6spd TCM on. 0-60 4.8 sec (edited)

So I bought into the hype. Picked up the lt1. I like it but.... My v6 Challenger absolutely rapes this thing with the traction control on.

What are your 0-60 times with a manual and the nannies on?

With respect... what did you expect to run with TC on? It isn't going to run it's fastest, that's for sure. Maybe I'm missing something...

Even with the TC on it should be WAY faster than 6.9.

No way an LT1 does a near 7-second 0-60, even with traction control on, something's not right here. Can you post a video?

Something is not adding up. I’m assuming you revved to a high engine speed and dumped the clutch and traction control needed to aggressively pull back power. What were the ambient temps? Very cold?

You probably just need some practice. I’d recommend attending some test and tune nights when your local drag strip opens to dial in your time. You should be able to get down to low 4’s.

You guys are right I do need more practice but man 6.9!? I'm using one of those obd2 readers to get the time. I'm not trying to boil the tires, just get the car rolling and mat it.

Wasn't trying to come off a smart-@$$ or anything; just trying to be helpful

It's probably like you and others have said: just seat time. Maybe, when funds permit: get some good tires to help hook up. If you're goofing off on the street, it will make it harder on OEM tires, because there's not a lot of grip to be had in a lot of circumstances.

Just more practice

No offense taken.

I would still like to know what time I should shoot for with the TC on.

I noticed my tire pressures are at 37 psi. I should probably get those down. Also Wife was in the car.
My worst 0-60 in the challenger was 6.4.

I would set the tires as per the door sticker on the drivers side door at the cold temp. If you leave the T/C on the computer can intervene enough to destroy the 0-60 times. Also the hose BT OBD2 programs are not the greatest at measuring time accurately. Best way is to use a stop watch and the old fashion method.

Does the LT1 not have the timers in them? I would use those before an OBD2 timer, those things are not accurate.
