Drag pack/Racestars Question

I see Summit has a Racestar part #92-795252DP-30 this wheel is 17x9.5 with 6.43 back space compared to the #92-795252DP with 6.00 back space that I see most people are using, I also hear concerns of rubbing /sticking outside the wheelwell with the 6.00 bs. Has anyone used the wheel with the 6.43bs. Would this fit up inside the wheelwell better without any rubbing issues outter or inner? Tire will be a 28 inch MT,M&H drag radial or hooiser slick .Just prefer the tire tucked in .

Those wheels are based off my wheels and work for a lowered car which mine is. I knew they were going to change and yes it keeps the tire under the fender wells. Of course they'll work on lowered or non lowered and those are the ones you want.

Thanks for the info, I've read on one of your posts that you had custom back space .That's great Racestar are making them standard now. Good luck on your quest for 10.80s and hopefully even quicker.Looking forward to all your future build and drag strip details.

We will know tomorrow if the tires will hook close to 550rwhp and we they do I think 10's will happen. Temp are going to be in the upper 50's which will be real close to where it was last fall when I went 11.71 with 395 rwhp. Fingers crossed.

I would just go with the same backspacing as the set I got for Zack:

If your going to lower it the 6.00 bs will rub, That's why Mike at Race Star did a one off for me and now that's the 6.43 which will work on manufactures set up and lowered. Personally I don't like tires that hang out from under fender wells. I'm a tucker.

I have 6" BS and it is lowered, but nowhere near as low as layinlo15. I have BMR suspension springs. It has been no issue in normal driving. Track time comes when it opens later this spring.

These are M&H front and back.

I hope they don't hit. Here is another pic. I really don't want to have to buy another set. The stock springs will not be going back in to get it higher.

Stock the best I ran was 12.21. Never had the mineshaft air to run in.

Looks great I just have no clue how much these cars squat on the launch are your new springs any softer ? I see some rubber build up there on the lower quarter looks like you've been trying em out

I don't think they are any softer. I have a lot of BMR stuff installed. It's pretty stiff. The rubber is from running at the track on the stock tires.
