I was wondering when we would see some slips posted? Post them to the V8 Fast list.

Were they there? Same slips, same car numbers, similar times in the 60 and 330 ft. I mean if they want a conspiracy, say both times were on DRs. Not the times aren't matching to the car because numbers/slip wise that is the same car.

With the A8 and drag radials mounted on 17 inch wheels was the car consistent enough to be a good bracket car?

Can not speak for the 14 and 15. Shortly after I got my 2012 ZL1 manual, I ran a best of 12.12 bone stock on street tires at the same track.

Both launches were fron an idle. Loading it did not seem to help.

Yes. Full throttle launch without traction control is fastest and also consistent. Use air pressure for traction adjustment. It will also be a great occasional bracket car with TC on with either type tire combo - just slower.

Throttle lag takes getting used to for a good tree. Best RTs came from leaving at the end of the second yellow. The DR run was a pro tree for some unknown reason and a good indication of the lag.

We didn't have time to put the Weld wheels and M&H tires from the ZL1 on the front while at the track. So, we did a test fit and test ride today. The welds fit with about 1/8 clearance on the caliper. These are 6 piston Brembos so 4 pistons should be fine too. Tires were fine except they rub the rear of the inner fender well on the engine side when you turn all the way to the lock. Not likely something you would do on the drag strip. No issues with either rear or front on a 10 mile drive around town. Both wheels were the ones Weld recommended for a 2012 ZL1. I had them in the garage so I tried them. Here are the sizes:

Front: Weld RT-S, 17x5 with M&H 4.5/28.0/17 tires
Read: Weld RT-S, 17x9 with MT ET Streets, 295/45/17
