Swapping out exhaust cause warranty issues?
Hello all, from Ontario Canada
Just got a 2018 Camaro 2.0 I want to change out the exhaust for the Borla S- type with Y pipe. What I'm wondering is will this cause any issues at the dealership if this car goes in for warranty work? I don't like the way the stock exhaust sounds, but do not want to void the warranty either. I did call the dealer, and got the , I don't really know line. I have seen the axle back system the GM sells, but don't know if a different system would cause warranty issues. TIA |

The only complaint you'll lose with an aftermarket exhaust is that of any rattles that may present themselves. The dealer won't be inclined to investigate any new noises related to the interior due to the different frequencies the aftermarket exhaust emits.

Thanks for the replys everyone.
I'm glad to know this information. I think I will go ahead with the exhaust change now. If I get any rattles, I will deal with that issue myself. I went through that with a forth gen T/A with flow master exhaust I had years ago. Thanks again everyone. |
