2021 2SS 1LE AUTOMATIC

So, I plan on ordering / purchasing a 2SS 1LE automatic early 2021. The configurator shows that when you add the 1LE package, it removes remote start. I'm just curious why would they remove remote start as it's part of the 2SS package with automatic transmission. Any ideas?

And 2nd question, do you think it would be possible to remove the recaro seats for the standard leather seats?

It may have something to do with what the system can handle? Not sure. I do know that going to 1LE from 2SS also removed the rearview camera to add the PDR in the front.

As far as changing out the seats go, I have seen a couple videos on YouTube where people went the other way, from the standard bucket seats to the Recaro. So it can be done - aftermarket.

As waterman said, remote start is not available with the manual transmission, presumably for safety reasons, as it could wreak havoc if you left the car in gear and didn't activate the parking brake. The windows can only be opened (and not closed) remotely for the same silly reason.

Seats can only be swapped afterwards, not in the configurator, at least this wasn't an option before. However, it should be simple if you trade them with someone that has a 2SS. I'm sure there will be non-1LE people interested in a straight swap. Heck, even I may be interested, mine are in perfect shape still, even the driver side bolster looks almost new

Good luck with your purchase

Take my advice as I have had both the 2SS standard seats and the Recaro seats in the ZL1 and I highly recommend keeping the Recaros and not swapping them for the standard 2SS seats. They are much more supportive and comfortable at least to me anyway. I thought that Chevy was going to offer the A10 Auto in the SS 1LE package for 2021. My question is why would the remote start be deleted in the 1LE unless it was a M6 and not the A10. Very strange.

I understand BG but you may like them once the seats get broken in to your shape/body. I know mine did and they are very comfortable and supports my somewhat bad lower back more than the 2016 2SS seats did.

Could be just a bug in the configurator since the auto is a new option for 2021 1LEs. Best bet would be to see if you can find someone at a dealer or even the chevy.com chat who might know. Good luck!
