Gloves

Does anyone wear racing, mechanics gloves while racing or touring? I wear mechanics gloves when it's cold out. They grip the wheel good.

I use thin workout gloves that have rubber on palms of your hands, it helps especially autocrossing.

I never did, then I did a track day that "mandated" you wear gloves due to their insurance policy. I had a pair of the cotton gloves with rubber dip coating... it was actually a pleasant surprise. I had planned on wearing them at the next autocross, but got a little self-conscious. If it gets cool out for our last autocross of the season (which it has a tendency to do here in Michigan) I'll probably wear them for the extra grip.

I feel embarrassed sometimes wearing it but do like the feel of them. I bought the Pratt and Hart Traditional Leather Driving Gloves. I do say i like the ritual of putting them on before my drive. For some reason it makes me feel more focused then just getting in the car and driving to work. That's just me though.
