Well, it FINALLY happened. My Camaro came in to my dealer and I got the call! I raced down there after work and BOOM! ... picked up my black SS and drove him home safe and sound. Fortunately the weather cleared and warmed up to well over freezing, so there weren't any problems on the roads. Yay! I thoroughly enjoyed my ride home, but DID notice a heckuva lot of stares going down the highway. There still aren't many Camaros in my neck of the woods, so my boy stood out loud and proud! All I can say is that the car is frickin' awesome, and better than I thought it would be. When I climbed in the car my wife let out a happy scream and said, "That car is so YOU!" Oohhhhh, yeahhhh.

I'd like to send out a special "Thank you!" to Mike Judge, a member here on Camaro5. He noticed that I was still waiting on my SS early last week, and volunteered to look up my order in Oshawa and see what the hold up was. His offer took me by surprise as I didn't ask him to do this, he just noticed and wanted to help out. How awesome is THAT?! The guy is goodness personified. To our surprise (including my dealer!) the car had JUST been built and was being put on a train to come home out west!!! So THANK YOU to Mike and the entire Oshawa Camaro Team for putting together one hell of a car for me. I'm grateful for your work, appreciative of the car, and absolutely ecstatic that I finally own a Camaro!!!

Enjoying the feel of my new 2SSRS!

Behold, the permagrin! I've finally got mine!

That's just awesome that Mike hooked you up! Congrats... it's home!!!!

And I see you are trained well... you knew you had to post !

Enjoy! More ! And now you got it... go play!!

Being in the owning club is freaking awesome, and SOOOO worth the wait. But I shan't forget the little people. (AHH! I kid! I kid!)

Total adrenaline rush! I stomped a little too hard in first gear leaving the dealership and squealed the tires for a brief moment.... made me cackle like a madman all the way down to the highway.

I totally understand your pain! :( All I can say is when you climb into yours, the adrenaline rush will wash all that pain far, far away!

I'll be out that way as soon as the weather allows, and the gravel is cleared up. Count on it!

My sales rep, Terry, laughed and asked the same thing. That's what I was wearing to work today. Worked out great!

Thanks for sharing, RAVIRN!!!!...

Congrats and enjoy the ride of your life!!!...

Welcome to the 'PERMAGRIN CLUB!!!'...

You and your BAD A** 'Bitchin' Camaro are lookin' mighty fine!!!...

The wait was so worth it, wasn't I right??!!...

Your post brought me RIGHT BACK to 5/18/09, the day I got 'THE CALL', and 5/19/09, the day I picked up my 'ROCKETSHIP'!!!...9 months and 5000+ miles later, and I still get as 'giddy as a child' every single time I get in that car and 'drive it like I stole it'!!!...OH YEAH!!!...

Now, get out there and drive that Camaro and post more pics if you ever get out of it, and don't forget us on Camaro5 now that you have your 'dream called Camaro'...

Now, in honor of you getting your car, I will do my 'world famous smiley dance', just for you, to celebrate this day!!!...
