PB by a bunch 9.41@146 mph, time slips&video

Well it just keeps running faster as of today I just ran 9.41@146 with a 60 ft of 1.35 and 6.05@117 1/8 and just before that pass I ran 9.43@146 w/1.36 60ft and 1/8 mile 6.07@117. This little 2650 Heartbreaker is showing some steam.
It was in the 80s and DA was someplace in the 2000s. All we did was slightly change the tune from when I ran 9.61 Labor Day Weekend. Conditions were close to the same. When I was here in July at the Camaro Fest we ran 9.77@142 something. I can't wait till I get some 60 degree days and DA in the 500 range. We might see some 9.20'sName: 20190907_203159.jpg

Great runs! You’re really hustling. What were the main changes in the tune? Picking up another 2 tenths is a solid gain.

Honestly I'm not for sure, I know that it was too rich and we had too much timing down low but since I don't tune it can't really tell you details.

Do you know what your race weight is? Also, what did it Dyno? Just trying to get a perspective of a the rwhp and weight to achieve the times you ran.

Nice work Greg, below 9.5, congrats. Nothing little about the 2650 heartbreaker.

I weighed the car with 3/8 tank and it was 3890 with this fat old man in it. So it doesn't make a 1000 hp, not 900, not 850 so a little less then that last number. Its just a combination of a number of things that makes it pretty fast. We are not done for sure.

I think we are gonna need a chute soon. My new pulley should be here this week sometime and when I see some nice cool weather coming we are going to bang that gong. I don't know how fast we'll go but it will go or blow.

3890 is pretty good, several hundred pounds less than me in my ZL1. My guess, if i will be heaver and only shooting for 725-750ish RWHP, i might only expect to be 9.9x-10.1 range. At least if gives me an idea.

Really nice times in those conditions!

Don't know if you've been thinking of this, but when you get some lower DA to run in, the demand on the fuel system is going to go higher. Since you've mentioned that you are already experiencing fuel pressure drops, you might want to increase how much methanol you are injecting and/or further upgrade your fuel system, just a thought.

Yep, thought of that and I'll add that second nozzle again for sure and turn it up if needed. I have another pulley coming but not sure if I'll have enough fueling to run that one. We'll probably try and get it back on the dyno with that change to see if we can run it. I'll upgrade my fuel system over the winter. Probably do the Dsx, plus we will pull the heads back off and go thru them and port them also. Maybe we can run in the 8s next year, but not planning on trying this year. I'm only spinning the blower about 18,500 rpms. We have a long ways to max this bad boy out. A chute will also be on the top priority over the winter cause I'm sure I'll be exceeding 150 mph, might get close this year.
