Cover

Living in Michigan and my 24 on order will not be my DD, it will be garaged for long periods of time. I’ve been looking for covers for 24 but can’t find anywhere. I’m assuming 99.99% that a 23 MY cover will fit fine, but any recommendations on brand? It’s it as useful as it seems to have the drivers door zipper?

If you search from '19 forward you'll be safe as for fitment, if your looking to keep it covered in the garage a poly cotton will be fine, just a thought will there ever be a chance you may have it parked outside your garage you may want a cover that's more weather resistant than the poly cotton? which is a more indoor cover.
Covercraft, GM accessories covers and Wolf Automotive has a bunch of different brand covers for all occasions lol.

I got my car cover from California Car Cover. My car is also always garaged but taken off the road in the winter and covered.

Is it helpful to cover the car parked in a garage for a few months? I'm not saying it isn't, it's an honest question.

I would imagine the average garage offers a great protection , it's not just a carport. No sun, no rain, no snow, no overnight condensation. Likely no frost either, but a cover won't help with that much. Maybe a bit of dust. But we wash our toys after taking them out for a season, right?

Won't the handling of the cover over the paint harm it more than leaving it uncovered and putting it through a light wash at the end of the storage, if even that is needed?

I agree. Unless you have a dirty garage don’t use a cover.

I purchased this indoor cover for the car as it sits in the Minne Winters.

https://www.covercraft.com/us/en/pro...r-cover.C-CCIC

I had an additional 35% coupon, which brought the total price down to about $250.

Yes it’s helpful for not only dust but the other car warming up in there and not to mention us winter states grill at the edge of the garage to stay out of the wind and or snow

I use Covercraft! Good fit and snow dust and salt dust stay on the cover which I wipe off before thing off the cover. Then I fold it into itself till the middle of the car then roll it from front to back. The outside never thoughts the car.

The car has not appreciably changed in shape or size throughout the entire Gen6 run. Any cover spec'ed for 2016 or newer will fit.

I got lucky and connected with a fairly local member on here that had traded off his car and was outright selling his California Dustop cover. Fits very well and keeps the car very clean. It also is a slightly thicker cover so that gentle bumps against the car from walking by or what-not will not cause scratches and similar from the cover getting rubbed against the paint.

The current DustForce cover they have (SKU PO5) seems to be pretty close to what I have and is around $315. I thought I had read somewhere that the reason the Dustop covers went away is because the material was no longer being made by the manufacturer (Kimberly Clark).

Not even a question; go Covercraft. Expensive but well worth it.

I have an indoor and outdoor cover, I will never use the outdoor cover it causes too much damage put on and taking off. I do use my indoor cover anytime the car will sit for longer than two weeks but only after washing. I sometimes wonder how well the plastic film painters or body shops use would work. It's clingy and inexpensive.

Most of those films are marked for short-term use only. They contain petroleum products that will permanently stain your paint if left on too long.
