I wired my Escort Redline 360C, with attached M2 dashcam using the blend mount. My mirror has the camera and I've never had an issue with it. I put a blend mount in my 2021 Trail Boss and hard wired it with a Gen5DIY kit so I can just move the detector and dashcam back and forth between vehicles. So far, I haven't had any problems with either vehicle.

I have mine directly hard wired to my cigarette lighter type 12V power port on the console, and if I drive the shit out of the car, like Audubon type shit in middle of nowhere at 2 AM when I want to rely on it! it powers off? And that is the highest direct feed in cab amperage tap I could think of short of going to the battery

I've got the rearview mirror camera, and as shown wired directly into it. the mirror tap from blendmount was easy and the connector matches their install picture exactly.
have over 400 miles with this setup, and so far have not encountered any power cutouts, and it is a switch input that provides power when the car is started
