Cellsafe is right. Get the fluid swapped before you have problems.
Your car came from the factory with a defective part... that just happens to be poured out of a bottle.

I got mine flushed at 4000 miles early 2020.

Had it done at 25,991 miles back in March and now I'm feeling it again over at 29,464. I'm also getting very hard shifts when just cruising. At this point I feel like the torque converter is done for but the dealership might do a fluid flush for the second time

I'd really suggest absolutely everyone with the A8 (and even early A10's) get all new fluid put in if it has fluid from before the 2nd quarter of 2019. Regardless of symptoms.

You really dont want to wait for the issue to get bad enough to cause shuddering before dealing with it.

Good call. When I take it in, what do I ask for to make sure I get the newest fluid?

Mobil 1 Blue?

Mine had the shudder around 29k miles, they did the flush and it came back at 61k miles, literally 1k miles outside of warranty. They had to replace the converter and do a tune on the second attempt. Costed $2,700 ... good thing I kept my extended warranty.

Yeah. Mobile 1 didn't change the name of the fluid. The only way to really identify good vs bad is the blue label vs black label.

Had fluid change done recently at 73k miles. Extended warranty didnt cover it because there was no metal flakes in the fluid. Its better now but shudder is present at low speeds (20-25mph) in the 100-1300 rpm range. Its fine cruising at speeds above 40mph. Today i did notice its jerking some between 1st-2d gear.

It's the fluid. This thread goes into the mechanism of the problem. Posts 15 and 17 are highlights:
