Removing Burnout Debris
What is the best way to remove the rubber and burnout debris left on your car after a night of racing?

Stoner Tarminator works well, just don't use it on plastic trim. It will remove your wax/sealant, so you'll need to reapply.
I like to use Road Warrior Paint Protection, put in on before you go, it comes off with water. https://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=498958

I use Spartan SD-20 (available from your local janitorial supply house) on my race car. The Porsche guys swear by Mothers R3.

For the inner fenderwells (the felt-like material), I coat them with aerosol spray wax before the race. The wax soaks into the felt and keeps the rubber and track goo from setting into the material. After racing, you can use a soft brush or your hand (with a glove) and clean it off. It works best if you brush/rub in small circles.
I also coat the suspension components with spray wax and the junk comes right off with the paper towels. The wax is the same miracle wax they sell from popup tents in gas stations. I just buy it cheaper by the case online. |
