DYI Painting - Side Skirts

Has anyone purchased unpainted side skirts and DIY paint them? cant seem to find much in the search tool or via google.

Any suggestions? Do I try and wrap it myself?

TIA

The painting should be reasonably straight-forward and be like painting pretty much anything else...

Sand, fill, sand, fill, sand, etc. until it's perfectly smooth. Then prime to find where it ISN'T smooth and repeat.

Once the primer looks right, multiple sprays of a thin layer to build up depth and protection. If you're going for a gloss look, a light wet sand between layers will help add depth to the appearance. Clear coat when you're done, wet sand, polish, and install.

To me, the installation is the much harder part. These things are like seven feet long and consist of flat surfaces and hard angles that are intended to mount up against a curved, contoured area of the car. Plan to do a lot of dry-fitting and understand how/where to tape and get them to adhere.

If you're interested, here's some install videos:
