Does this color have any metal flake in it? I'm ordering a 22 1LE soon and trying to decide on color. Haven't found one in person yet.

Hey! I actually had the same question many weeks ago

Somebody mentioned that Cherry Red and Wild Cherry are really both the same color (GSK is the code).

With that in mind, I was able to find a few cars at my local dealership in Cherry Red, including a Blazer.

My impression: It's definitely not a bad color, and it's still towards the top of my list, but it didn't pop as much nor did it have as much "depth" as I thought it would.

Hope you can find a few Cherry Red cars at your dealership as well, to see it in person!

Oh, and to actually answer your question, yes it does have flakes, but they’re pretty small.

You're in Ohio. Do you have concerns about the tries during winter?
Yeah that's another issue with the Camaro, they only offer summer tires. I have always used all seasons with my RWD cars in the warm months and then switch the wheel and tires over to a winter set during the snow season. I've done this with 2 genesis coupes and 2 mustangs. Granted if I get the 1320 Challenger, I will most likely have to switch out the wheels and or tires for a DD set and then another set for winter, but if I go with the WB trim I would only need a winter set, but I would most likely have to use spaces for smaller wheels in the winter. The stock WB wheels are huge also and may be difficult to change. I could try one of those tire valet services or I've even thought of getting a beater car or truck for the winter, but that is another expense in upkeep and insurance for another vehicle.

I have always bought a second set of factory rims and put winter tires on them. For my SS, I had gray spoke rims with Pirelli Sottozero tires in the OEM size 245/275. That way the car always looks good.

I just bought reproduction 1LE rims and Sottozero’s and will be selling the split spokes.

Gotcha. If I end up getting a Camaro, I may have to look you up if you sell those wheels, although I'm sure there are tons used sets for sale. BTW, sharp looking car. I love dark green and had thought about getting one with white stripes and ceramic interior, but have a guard mustang now and always wanted a dark red car and really like the orange or a cinnamon color too.

Some new pictures today. Very hard to capture the way the color glows in bright sunlight.

I've got nothing real to add to this thread, but my buddy continues to tell me how awesome he thinks my LT1 looks in Wild Cherry

Anyone have any thoughts on how well the red seats match the exterior? I have not been able to find one in person to look at. I know it won't be perfect, just wondering if it is close enough not to clash.

Thank you.

I think the red seat are bright red like Red Hot Red, I would think they will clash...

That's how I remember them, but in the online tool they look pretty dark. Looking for some first-hand knowledge or even a good pic.

The seat color is called "adrenaline red" and it's bright. I'm sure there are pictures in the interior section, but here's a pic with my red knee pads, the seats have the same color.

I wouldn't do this with a garnet red or cherry red exterior, it's too much of the clashing reds (the knee pads are just okay as accents IMO, and I have a garnet red car).

I couldn't find any images of the two together, but there is a thread from earlier this year from someone who wasn't entirely happy with the way they went together on his order - maybe he (Snakely) has some pics?
