Question Turbo on my V6

Wanting to put a Turbo on 2011 RS. Open to suggestions on what kind and other mods I may need to do to support the Turbo. my mechanical knowledge is next to none. And I have a limited amount for the project. $5000. all in. any suggestions will help.
Thanks
Jerry

There’s unfortunately no more turbo kits in production for LLT engines… so unless you happen to stumble upon someone selling theirs on here, you would have to source the parts individually. Check out these informative build threads for more on that whole process:

V6 TT Kit Interest
LLT Twin Turbo
LFX engine conversion into LLT

It appears you would be spending more than your budgeted amount on parts alone since it’s approximately $6k+, not to mention added fabrication/labor costs and the headache of finding a shop familiar with LLT platform capable to install and tune Bosch ECM. By all means I welcome more people to continue to join the FI ranks, but fair warning it’s definitely a journey that calls for strong willpower and be prepared to burn loads more money than you’d want to spend.

If you consider supercharger route instead, Will from Overkill Motorsports is all that’s available right now as a complete kit, which ordering through his website is temporarily on hold to fulfill lead times until further notice since he just switched from a Vortech to a Procharger… but again more than your allotted budget factoring in totality of expenses for parts and labor. Also, if you look through the forums many people including myself have commented on the prolonged response times and lack of communication from Will. Not going to beat a dead horse on the subject and I encourage you to do your research to draw your own conclusions, just offering useful information to consider when making such a costly and consuming decision.

Many people have spared themselves the added stress and switched to a 2012+ LFX engine with Delphi ECM for FI mods since there’s more options and tuning is easier.

Good luck with whatever you decide, keep us posted on your build!

Sorry to say, but being from a V8, V6 and T4 crowd - I would take the 5K and go V8

How about a homemade/assembled setup with 6 turbos, one for each cylinder? That'd show'em. I don't know who, or what they'd be shown, but they would be.
