After 14 years of caring for my truck, I repaired some bubbling paint on the rear fenders of my 08 Silverado. I feel like my truck has fared better than other similar Silverados in my salty part of the country….
Sanded bare. Rust removal wiped on. Primed. Painted flat black…
Then I covered it with fender flares all around. The flares look awesome. Should have done it years ago.

I haven’t washed and detailed my ZL1 today but it’s a nice day here in Georgia. Probably going to take the ‘70 VW beetle out for a drive and do some errands!

Towed my '73 Maverick in to see if I can get it roadworthy again... this was my first project car and daily-driver from the eighties and nineties that has unfortunately been sitting since 2006. Below is a photo of it from back in the day...

Didn't put the ZL1 in the garage.... On a hauler somewhere in metro Detroit.

Crap sideways. You get the idea

I haven't done anything with my 1LE today as we are enjoying the impacts of Hurricane Ian. Thankfully the 1LE is tucked away safely in the garage.

I'm so thankful we don't have the issues here that Florida had with Ian. Just a lot of rain and some tropical storm force winds. That's nothing that those of us in eastern North Carolina haven't seen many times before. It's pretty much business as usual here today despite the weather.

Here is an interesting view of Hurricane Ian from Frying Pan Shoals Light Tower.

Nothing, waiting for the fresh driveway stain to stabilize completely before driving over it.

I did not exceed 4,000 RPM again today as I'm only 860 miles into the 1,500 mile break-in period.

Plan on taking my '01 Ford Excursion out for a rip later tonight! She was relieved of daily driving duties when I got the 1LE in March of this year after being daily driven for 20 years between different members of my family. 310,000 miles on the 7.3L diesel and still runs like a top! I like to drive it every couple weeks to keep all the fluids cycling and keep it ready for the upcoming snowboard season.
