Anyone know what this is?

Found this today next to the gas pedal. I recently had the clutch slave cylinder replaced. Maybe related to that?

It looks like it. The bolt is exposed. It is supposed to be? But, I'll be damned if I can get that rubber thing to pop back in that hole. I tried a little WD40, but so far no go. Can you point me to a parts diagram?

The bolt shouldn't be exposed. Takes a little force because it shouldn't be easy to remove, I believe the "squared" side goes towards the pedal itself, it's fitted for the actual hole so try rotating it.

The rubber cover goes in with very little pressure, you probably oriented it wrong. Don't try to force it, it should just snap in.
