2SS 1LE 18" Wheels
I know this question has been done to death but I can't find the info I need for the life of me.
I currently have a 2021 LT1 with 18" Bremmer Kraft BR16 wheels (cheap winter tire set). I am planning on picking up a 2022 2SS 1LE shortly but its wayyy to cold to drive home on the summer only wheels (Chicago area). I know SOME 18" wheels can just clear the brakes on the 1LE but I can't find any info on these wheels. Anyone have a way for me to confirm I can swap them over and drive home? Thanks! |

TireRack.com carries that wheel and claims that they won’t fit an SS 1LE. Maybe the dealer will let you try mounting one to test the fit? Maybe wait for a dry day when temperatures are above freezing to bring it home on the summer tires? Have you talked to the dealer to see what they recommend?

Because I want the features of the 2SS and 1LE and they are giving me enough on the LT1 that it's a wash from it and they are at MSRP on the new car. Actually I think like 500 below.

Here are wheels that I used. I got them at TireRack. Don't know if they are available anymore. They clear the brakes.

No spacers. In front there was not an inch of clearance, more like half an inch. You have to look out for wheel weights on the inside front at full lock (touching a sway bar bolt, I think). It is just how the wheel weight is placed, if you need one. Just move it slightly inwards solves the problem.
