What’s her name? Found this tonight...

I was installing my new GM dark tails and found this Under the taillight cover. I guess there is a Assembly line crew named Kim. As of today, she will remain Kim.

Congratulations, you have a very rare autographed version of the car and I hear collectors pay huuuuuuuge premiums once you get that signature verified.

When the 1 millionth Corvette fell into the sink hole at the Corvette museum, they rebuilt it. When dismantling it they discovered every single assembly line worker who worked on it that day signed the part they installed. So they changed their approach to rebuilding it in order to save every original signature if possible. They were able to save them all but one. After doing some research they found the person who installed that part had already retired, so they did some more research and found where she lived, and she re-signed the part. Pretty cool.

Interesting- I have never seen anything like that on any of my cars I have owned. And I have owned a lot of them and worked on them all.

I think that is really cool. I would totally do this if I was working on the line. It just adds another element to the nostalgia of the car down the road.
